It takes its name due to the Bombyx mori silkworm being fed exclusively on mulberry leaves. Pure white in color and made up of individual long fibers, Mulberry Silk is most durable and the finest silk available.

The quality of silk is not determined by thread count, but rather, by a metric called momme (pronounced 'moe-mee'). Momme measures silk density and weight, the greater the momme the higher the quality and longer lifespan.

BeddyByes silk fabrics have been tested and certified under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to be non-toxic and free from harmful dyes and chemicals deemed to be safe for babies and toddlers. For more details, see Oeko-Tex Standard.

We currently offer domestic shipping meaning we deliver to the UK & Northern Ireland only due to some operational challenges we face post-Brexit and post-Covid. Soon, however, we'll be able to offer shipping to Europe also.

We aim to dispatch all orders received before 2pm within one working day. Once dispatched you can expect your order to be delivered between 2 to 3 working days.

Our packaging is letterbox friendly, meaning you won't need to be home. However, if an attempt was unsuccessful the courier will leave a card with instructions you can use to either arrange a pick-up from a nearby collection point, or organise a redelivery at a more convenient time.

We ensure every order leaves our warehouse in perfect condition, but in the unlikely event that an item arrives faulty or is damaged during transit, please let us know within 48 hours of delivey so that we can offer a swift resolution. In some instances it may not be possible for us to send a replacement and we may need to issue a full refund upon return of the damaged item(s) instead. In this case, we would cover all return costs.

Although hand washing is recommended, you can machine wash BeddyByes silk products. Always put your silk items in a washing bag and wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30℃ (do not tumble dry) with a silk safe detergent (wool detergeant is okay). Please note, the silk fibres contract and may wrinkle after washing but softens with use, we recommend steaming your silk items or ironing the back on very low heat once dry (line dry only, do not tumble dry and avoid direct sun light).
